An electric box design installation on historic Union Street in New Bedford, MA, near “Plastic Rooster”, a work by Portuguese sculptor Bordallo II.

The design incorporates symbols that flow through the city’s story, from nautical flag code to Underground Railroad quilts, from textile patterns to Adinkra symbols. My design balanced symbology with a desire to contribute a bright, playful atmosphere.
